Future-Ready Legal Software

With our law firm, which now has around 80 employees (lawyers and back-office staff), we started looking for a new software solution because our previous system was simply outdated. It was no longer up to date with the latest technologies and offered insufficient prospects for further innovation, particularly in the area of AI integration. We wanted a platform that not only supports our current operations but also prepares us for the future. Through a targeted online search, we came across Lawcloud.

A Well-Managed Transition

A transition of this scale inevitably brings concerns. The main worries were related to data migration and how well our employees would adopt the new software. By setting up a steering committee in advance, with representation from both partners and staff, we thoroughly prepared the process. This paid off: although the migration weekend was particularly tense, by Sunday evening almost everything had been transferred correctly. As a result, we were able to avoid non-productive time for our fee earners. The transition for end users went as expected with any change: some adapted more quickly than others. Good change management and clear communication proved crucial. Overall, the process felt controlled and predictable, with a communicative and constructive project approach from Lawcloud.

A True Partner, Not Just a Vendor

What makes the difference for us is that Lawcloud does not feel like just a supplier, but like a true partner. They think along with us about the organization of the firm, going beyond simply providing software. Their availability is excellent and communication lines are short. This gives us confidence for long-term collaboration. We also feel that Lawcloud truly understands our context and way of working. Their approach reflects a surprisingly deep and broad knowledge of the legal profession. Communication and planning are clear and well structured. What sets them apart from other legal tech providers is their sector-specific expertise, accessibility, and integration with platforms offered by the courts.

Adoption and Team Growth

Adoption among employees took place in phases, but by now everyone works smoothly with the system. Ultimately, this is more of a people issue than a software issue. Collaboration within the firm has noticeably improved, partly thanks to more efficient and time-saving processes. Discovering the product together and sharing initial frustrations even contributed to strengthening team dynamics. Today, we see that everyone works more efficiently and that cases and performance are better monitored.

Measurable Impact Across the Firm

Concretely, we see a clear impact at several levels. Financially, we have much better insight into our figures: they are up to date at all times, bringing peace of mind and control. In terms of reporting and management, ad hoc reporting is immediately available without additional human effort. Operationally, the time savings are evident and everyone works more uniformly, partly because the software encourages proper usage. Culturally, the transition has led to a more data-driven and structured way of working.

Performance That Stands Out

We experience the product’s performance as very strong. Features such as the review queue and the smooth time tracking stand out for us. In addition, the “ecosystem” approach, where partner tools are seamlessly integrated, is particularly valuable. This makes the platform robust and future-oriented.

A New Standard in Reporting

Compared to before, reporting is truly a world of difference. Where reports used to require time and manual effort, we now gain deep insights with a single click. Moreover, the software ensures that everyone works in a more uniform way. Without Lawcloud, we would especially miss this strong and user-friendly reporting. The biggest difference compared to the previous situation is the combination of transparency, control, and efficiency.

Value for Firms of All Sizes

We would recommend Lawcloud to both small and large firms; every firm can benefit from it. For larger firms, the system offers clear added value by enabling better monitoring of individual performance. Where employees could previously “hide” more easily and underperformance was sometimes noticed too late, the current system allows for timely adjustments.

Looking Ahead with Confidence

Looking ahead, we are excited about further AI integration. In that area especially, Lawcloud helps us remain future-proof as a firm. Their continuous focus on innovation and improvement gives us the confidence that we will stay technologically up to date and be ready for what lies ahead.
